Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026 · Effective on launch of the Pet Booper app
The short version
Pet Booper is a game built for kids and their families. The app does not collect personal information, does not show ads, does not track anyone, and has no accounts or chat. Your game progress stays on your device. The website collects nothing either — no accounts, no forms, no tracking. This page explains what that means and how to reach us.
Who this applies to
This policy covers:
- The Pet Booper game app for iPhone and Android, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
- The Pet Booper website at petbooper.com.
Pet Booper is made and operated by Scott Hanson, an independent developer (referred to as "we," "us," or "I" below).
Children's privacy
Pet Booper is directed to children under 13 and is built to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and, where applicable, similar protections such as the EU's GDPR-K and the UK Children's Code, as well as Apple's Kids-category requirements and Google Play's Families policy.
Concretely:
- We do not require an account, sign-in, or any personal information to play.
- We do not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, photos, or contacts from children.
- We do not show advertising of any kind — no behavioral ads, no contextual ads, no ad networks.
- We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising identifiers.
- There is no chat, no social feed, and no way for players to communicate with anyone inside the game.
What the app collects
The Pet Booper app does not send your information to us. Here is everything the app touches:
On your device, never sent to us
- Your game progress, cleared waves and best scores, unlocked pets and outfits, Kibble Coin and Paw Gem balances, achievements, daily-streak count, and your sound/settings preferences.
This data is stored locally on your device and is removed if you delete the app or use the in-game "reset save data" option in Settings.
Handled by the app store — not by us
- If you choose to buy Paw Gems, the purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. We receive a confirmation that a purchase succeeded so we can grant the Paw Gems, but we never see your name, payment card, or store account. The store's own privacy policy governs that transaction.
What the app does not collect
To be unambiguous: this version of Pet Booper contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising SDK, and no advertising identifier (IDFA). We do not build profiles of players, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
Permissions the app requests
- Network access — used only to process in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play and to open this website if you tap a link. It is not used for ads or tracking.
Pet Booper does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, photos, files, or push notifications.
The website
The petbooper.com website is a plain static page. It has no forms, no accounts, and no way to send us any information. It sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. Loading it causes your browser to request fonts from Google Fonts and assets from our hosting provider Cloudflare, both of which may briefly log an IP address for security and abuse prevention; we do not receive those logs in a form that identifies you.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of services to distribute and host Pet Booper. Each is bound by its own privacy policy:
- Apple App Store — app distribution and in-app purchases on iPhone.
- Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchases on Android.
- Cloudflare — website hosting.
- Google Fonts — serves the website's typefaces.
Parental controls
Parents and guardians can:
- Disable in-app purchases at the device level using iOS Screen Time or Google Play's purchase approvals / parental controls.
- Reset all save data from inside the game's Settings screen.
- Email us to ask any privacy question (see "Contact" below).
In-app purchases are also placed behind a parental gate in the app: a short question only an older child or adult can answer before any purchase screen appears.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information held about you, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Because the app collects nothing and stores everything locally on your device, in practice there is no personal data on our servers to access or delete — but if you have a question, please email us and we will help.
Changes to this policy
If we add a feature that changes what data is involved — for example, optional crash reporting in a future version — we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above before that feature ships, and note it in the app where appropriate.
